R3 800 per hour (a monthly stipend)

Minimum necessities:
Grade 12 (NQF level 4), a valid driver’s license, training to become a traffic warden, and an affidavit stating that the candidate has no criminal history are all required.
Primary characteristic:
To patrol an area as assigned for the enforcement of general law and order in terms of powers conferred upon a Peace Officer in terms of Government Notice R159 dated 02 February 1979 as
amended, in particular the prevention of crimes in terms of the Criminal Procedure Act 51 of 1977 as well as other legislations (i.e. National Road Traffic Act, CoJ By-laws).

Assist in crime prevention and uphold law and order to guarantee that obligations based on the Batho Pele Principles are carried out.
Uphold and carry out the Criminal Procedure Act 51 of 1977’s requirements to guarantee the provision of public safety services in accordance with the Batho Pele Principles.
Take part in community-based services to guarantee that public safety services are provided in accordance with the Batho Pele Principles.
Assist in carrying out crime prevention duties to guarantee the provision of public safety based on the Batho Pele Principles.
