Position Description

It designs, develops, manufactures, and markets diagnostics solutions (systems, reagents, software, and services) for clinical and industrial applications that pinpoint the source of a disease or contamination to enhance patient health and ensure consumer safety. With the assistance of a vast distributor network, the company has operations in 44 countries and provides services to more than 160 nations.

Knowledge and Experience

A medical bachelor’s degree is essential, and microbiology and pathology training is highly desirable.
A hospital setting clinical experience of at least three years must be continuous.
5 years must have passed in a medical affairs position working closely with healthcare professionals in a hospital setting, ideally.

The administration and design of clinical trials, the reimbursement environment, and regulatory affairs are all areas in which you have an excellent understanding of hospitals, clinics, and the medical environment.
Experience working in a clinical lab setting or with IVD products is highly preferred.

Medical Advisor Key Duties

Attend pertinent sessions of healthcare-related meetings (government, NGO, medical, patient, etc.); meet with KOLs/experts and healthcare providers; and be knowledgeable in the pertinent medical literature, developments, and guidelines.
Find, interact with, and build long-lasting relationships with present and upcoming thought leaders (KOLs, specialists, others) in the fields of critical care, infectious diseases, laboratory medicine, and other pertinent disciplines (laboratory personnel, infection control, pharmacists, etc.). To get appropriate counsel, expert opinions, and partnerships, create a strong network of pertinent and relevant professionals.
Participate in internal and external medical education initiatives.

Determine any gaps in the literature and direct or participate in local post market studies ( contact with investigators, creation and validation of study design, study monitoring, results analysis, etc.).
Through involvement in professional and medical associations, scientific publications, symposia, seminars, and interactions with healthcare authorities, you may aid in raising the subsidiary’s visibility in the medical and scientific fields.
Help Market Access Manager secure appropriate reimbursement by lending your medical experience to proving the worth of diagnostics in terms of patient care.

Be the internal medical expert for the subsidiary, communicating with Global Medical Affairs regarding regional medical requirements that go unmet and provide relevant medical knowledge as required.

Resources and Scope Accountability and common performance metrics

Indicators of financial health (revenue, budget, etc.): Budget for medical expenses
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) include the quantity and quality of contacts with KOLs and experts (such as visits and meetings with advisory boards), the quantity of presentations, publications, posters, conferences, and symposia, the size and effectiveness of expert/KOL networks, and the quantity of clinical studies that were a success.
Important Internal and External Contacts and Interfaces Internal: local Regulatory Affairs, regional and national Medical Affairs, global Medical Affairs, international and local marketing, sales force,

External: KOLs, experts, medical professionals, nurses, pharmacists, patient organizations, local, regional, national, and worldwide healthcare organizations, as well as authority in the field of medicine.
