Importance

Grade 12 or Matric BPharm or an equivalent degree
having a South African Pharmacy Council registration

Roles and responsibilities

Pharmaceutical care must be provided by accepting responsibility for patients’ medicine-related requirements and being accountable for addressing those needs, which shall include, but is not limited to, the following functions:
A patient’s medicine-related requirements are assessed by assessing the indication, safety, and efficacy of the therapy.
In line with the SAPC, accurately read scripts and operate in a professional and responsible manner while adhering to legal regulations.
